Looking upstream from the lower end of this awesome display of whitewater. Situated on the Colorado River, Lava Falls is the most powerful rapid in Grand Canyon National Park.

View looking north, across the Canyon at sunset from Shoshone Point. Vishnu Temple is center right, Wotans Throne is center left with Angels Gate just below all lit up with evening glow. The North Rim is on the left horizon and the "Palisades of the Desert" is on the right horizon. This painting is HUGE!

When hiking the North Kaibab Trail, Ribbon Falls is situated midway between rim and river - and is a unique and special setting. One must visit this place on a hot summer day and let the essence of the oasis sink in.
