Redwall Cavern is reached by boat on the Colorado River. It is midway through Marble Canyon. Notice the tiny dories pulled up on the sunlit beach in the center of the painting. Just imagine the scale of the place - gigantic!

Near Mohave Point on West Rim Drive, there is a spot where we go to watch the sunset. I have painted here several times.

The suface of the water is what it's all about, just the surface. This kind of thing is grabbing me now. When I am on the River and the sun is lighting up the cliffs I can't take my eyes off the surface of the water! Also, using pastel instead of oil paint is my current joy!
